It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a team that has won it all.

It needed until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It's challenging for their batters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Ultimately, the result of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy being given a platform to deliver her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups held the previous year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her bow and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the winning streak.

That loss "drove us to reevaluate our levels," Healy stated recently.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

If this latest epic knock topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it's been a disappointing period because it appeared I lacked timing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you step out on the field, your fighting spirit kick in and you just lock into the match."

Healy's competitiveness has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was out her side required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can do it."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

Yet even as she later admitted those injuries have postponed thoughts of retirement, this championship is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Victory in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
