Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.
The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive weapons
- Survey Corps steed
Third Free Story Addition
This release also adds the game's third free story addition, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive abilities: Naoe debuts a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns.
