These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
